A letter from a deceased patient’s grown children: “Dr. Kress, you were not only my father’s physician for the last seventeen years, your were our most trusted medical advisor and supporter. Dad Looked to you for reassurance, mostly with his kind heart, strong sense of pride and, yes, sometimes stubbornness… you never let him or us down with both of our parents’ numerous health challenges. Each time we reached out to you for advice or just plain old reassurance, you never waivered — always making us feel satisfied with your professional and honest opinions.

I have been going to your practice for my healthcare needs for almost two years and just wanted to take a minute to let you know how wonderful your office and all of the staff are. There have been times when I called and needed to be seen the same day and the schedulers were always able to accommodate me. The front desk staff is always very friendly and helpful with everything. Thank you for making going to the doctors a pleasant experience for my husband and me. We drive over an hour to have the privilege of receiving your care and will gladly continue to do so. If we ever get the opportunity to provide your office with a referral, we will do that as well.

A goodbye letter from a patient who moved too far away to make his customary 1 hour commute to us: “I consider my family and myself very lucky to have been your patients all these years. When my parents were on their last legs in May of 2001, it would never have occurred to me to have them go anywhere other then your practice. I’ve been lucky enough for have pretty good health all these years and during my occasional visit to have enough time to talk with you about anything and everything. Somehow you always found the time. So, I don’t imagine we’ll be running into you too often from here on. I just wanted you to know how grateful Margie and I have been to have had such a great doctor.

I can’t thank you enough for always going above and beyond the call of duty when it has come to my healthcare. You are the one physician who has fully understood the value of listening to his patients in a way that allows for a comforting and professional atmosphere. I also must personally give you credit for always believing that no case is every the same as the next, and you are willing to search high and low in order to help your patients heal. Here’s to a great staff of compassionate professionals: efficient, kind, knowledgeable – the way all doctors’ staffs should be but often are not. You guys are the best!
